Warranty Statement
United P.C., Inc. (United PC) assembles its computer systems from parts and components that are new and unopened. United PC warrants that the products it sells and/or manufactures will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty term is three years for new desktop computer systems, one year for new laptop and/or mobile computer systems, and one year for individual hardware purchases beginning on the date of invoice, as further described below. Each product purchased from United PC may also have a manufacturer's warranty which may exceed that of United PC. Damage due to shipping the products to you is covered under this warranty. Otherwise, this warranty does not cover damage due to external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, problems with electrical power, servicing not authorized by United PC, usage not in accordance with product instructions, failure to perform required preventive maintenance, and problems caused by use of parts and components not supplied by United PC.
This warranty does not cover any items that are in one or more of the following categories: software; accessories or parts added to a United PC system after the system is shipped from United PC; accessories or parts that are not installed by a United PC representative.
United PC will repair or replace products returned to a United PC service location with like or similar products, after concluding that the products are defective. To request warranty service, you must call United PC within the warranty period. Refer to the United PC website (http://www.united-pc.com) to find the appropriate telephone number for obtaining customer assistance. If warranty service is required, customer agrees to either bring the product(s) to a United PC service location or to ship the product(s) to a United PC service location via a traceable courier (i.e. FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
NOTE: United PC is not responsible for the data on your system. Prior to servicing or repairs, it is the customer's responsibility to backup any and all important data on the system. United PC is not responsible for lost or damaged data. In the event that United PC is requested to perform a backup and restore of customer's data, customer agrees to hold United PC blameless for the inability to backup and/or recover said data.
United PC owns all parts removed from repaired products. All parts removed from repaired products must be returned to United PC, or the customer agrees to pay the replacement cost of those product(s). United PC uses new and unopened parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty repairs and building replacement products, unless specified by manufacturer. If United PC repairs or replaces a product, its warranty term is not extended.
