Terms and Conditions

By making payment for a United PC Maintenance Plan (“Plan”) the Customer agrees as follows:

No purchase is necessary to register for a Plan; however, a non-refundable maintenance fee is required and is automatically renewed on the anniversary date of the term of the Plan. United PC reserves the right to change Plan features, fees or requirements at any time. For Auto-Pay customers, completion of the Credit Card Automatic Payment Authorization Form is required in order to begin Plan. For Manual Bill (or Invoice) customers, a manual billing fee will be charged for each mailed invoice. Additionally, the initial payment and any fees (service fees, one-time fees, etc.) must be paid in advance before coverage begins.

United PC reserves the right to reject any application.

Plan fees will not be prorated when Plan begins, ends, or Customer adds/removes devices.

Each device registered for coverage under a managed service plan will be charged a one-time setup fee of $30.00. Each device will be inspected prior to acceptance into any Plan. Any existing issues will need to be resolved prior to acceptance into Plan coverage. Repairs to existing issues will be charged at the customary rate for non-contract customers.

A device must be registered with United PC prior to coverage in the Plan. Additional devices must also be registered with United PC prior to coverage. United PC reserves the right to include a device into coverage if request for service was made prior to the beginning of coverage.

Customer may upgrade/downgrade the Plan at any time at no additional charge, however more than two changes in a 12 month period may result in additional fees. United PC reserves the right to re-inspect on Plan upgrade/downgrade. Changes are effective immediately.

Plan benefits include a reasonable amount of service hours to cover the normal use of the equipment and its accompanying operating system, if any. This also includes operating system security updates and vulnerability patches. Service is inclusive of Remote, In-Shop, On-Site and Priority services, as the specific Plan implies, and will be offered between the normal business hours of United PC; currently Monday through Friday during the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, not including Federal Holidays.

Automatic maintenance is performed by automated scripting and runs on a regular schedule each week or month as required. Physical maintenance is scheduled and performed on regular calendar quarters beginning on the first day in January and ending on the last day in December. Remote Control software will be installed to allow United PC to connect to and monitor the covered equipment, on demand, in order to perform maintenance and other Remote Services. A detailed audit log is maintained to show these connections, including compliance requirements such as username, time/date stamp and duration. If remote services cannot be completed Customer will have the option of having United PC come on-site to pickup and/or service the device. On-Site and Shop service will be billed to the customer as the customer/device’s specific plan implies.

Shop Services are offered free of charge, as the specific plan implies, and requires that the customer disconnect their device and bring it to a United PC repair facility during business hours. Shop Services do not include Pickup and Delivery. If Pickup and Delivery is requested and it is not covered under the customer/device’s specific plan, the customer will be charged a one-time Travel/Pickup/Delivery fee.

Pickup and Delivery: Pickup includes traveling to Customer’s location, disconnecting Customer’s device(s) and delivering to a United PC repair facility; Delivery includes traveling to Customer’s location, reconnecting Customer’s device(s) and verifying printer operation, if applicable. This does not include new printer or additional peripheral installation. Pickup and delivery services are offered free of charge within the borders of Highlands County, Florida, as the specific plan implies. Additional charges may apply for locations outside of the stated boundaries and United PC reserves the right to apply and/or waive these charges.

On-Site Services are offered free of charge, as the specific Plan implies, within the borders of Highlands County, Florida. Additional charges may apply for locations outside of the stated boundaries and United PC reserves the right to apply and/or waive these charges.

Services will be handled under a first-come, first-served basis. Priority Service will be handled under a first-come, first-serve basis with other

Priority Services. Shipping charges are not included with any service.
Service Requests: Customer MUST submit a Service Request to United PC in order to begin the work order process. Service requests are available on our company website (https://www.united-pc.com) or via electronic-mail 24 hours a day to support@united-pc.com. In a situation where the customer is unable to connect to the Internet to access the Service Request Form, a Service Request can be submitted by calling or texting +1 (866) 370-3707 (additional text/data rates may apply).

Priority Service: Priority Service specifically implies that United PC (or its affiliates) has up to 4 business hours from receipt of a Service Request in order to respond to customer (Remote sessions are considered a form of response), not including Federal Holidays. Resolution times may exceed 24 hours.

Projects: Major upgrades or other services performed outside of the scope of this agreement are considered projects and will be charged to the Customer accordingly. Major Operating System (version) upgrades are not covered under the scope of this agreement unless otherwise specified by a special addendum to this agreement.

Plan benefits are non-transferable, have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash.

Customer may cancel the Plan at any time by sending such request in writing no less than fifteen (15) days before the next billing cycle. Once the notice is received by United PC all services affected will be canceled and automated billing of the Customer’s debit/credit card will be suspended. Any service requests pending at the time of cancellation notification will be charged at the customary rate for non-contract customers. No refunds or prorated discounts will be given for unused services.

United PC reserves the right to charge for services and/or forfeit Plan coverage on any computer or device that has been modified, tampered with, or otherwise altered without the knowledge and acceptance of United PC or its affiliates. It is the responsibility of the Customer to notify United PC of any third-party modifications and/or adjustments prior to the modifications and/or adjustments being made.

Customer shall be bound by all the Terms and Conditions contained herein and by all applicable laws. All interpretations of the Terms and Conditions shall be at the sole discretion of United PC. Any litigation arising from Customer’s participation in the Plan will be construed under the laws of Florida. The venue of such litigation shall be in Highlands County, Florida.

Customer is responsible for notifying United PC of payment, address and email changes. United PC is not responsible for lost, delayed or undelivered mail/email. Late or failed payments will be considered service cancellation by Customer.

United PC reserves the right to modify the Plan, Plan Program, or Terms and Conditions or to terminate the Plan or Plan Program at any time with written or electronic notice to Customer.

United PC is not responsible for interpretation by its employees of Plan procedures or Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict, this agreement, as modified, and/or the most recent Plan notifications, shall control.

United PC reserves the right to audit any Plan at any time, including inspection of customer’s equipment. Customer’s failure to cooperate with Plan audits may result in Plan termination.
